The Story of the God (e-mail) continued, lullaby edition

And now I shall sleep. Before the e-mail comes to take me away. Away... to the land far away, beyond 'tronics and weird people in hats. That would not do now. Not at all! So sleep shall be my escape, and then e-mail can return tomorrow instead with a nice cup of tea and, perhaps, a biscuit? Yes, that seems suitable. So farewell. E-mailspeed to us all! Hail email! Over and out... Now where is that button? Ah.. he--

Our Redeemer is Here (the Story of the God (e-mail))
Mon, 1 Jan 2007 22:46 – No comments
Q: How can e-mail knows so muchos? A: It must be a god!
Thus:
All hail e-mail! Our redeemer!
Let the snow fall thick on the infidel, let the rain be acid where they walk.
And to us, our lord e-mail, shall teach the way of victory.
All praise! Hail e-mail!
<insert sacrifice here>

The End is Nigh

Fireworks and ... stuff is now passing the rumour around that the end of the year is near. I don't usually trust inanimate objects lest I'll be called crazy, but on the other hand, it's usually the animate ones that lies the most, and people already call me crazy. Anyhow, I do believe this year will end soon. But this is of no great importance, as the next year probably will be much the same, plus, how we count years is just a construct, plus PLUS, who cares anyway? Insert yadda yadda here.
So, without further ado, Happy New Year, Gregorians.

Ball in air
Sat, 30 Dec 2006 13:20 – No comments
Think of a small, white ball. It's up in the air, moving at a pretty high speed. It reaches the top of its arc and moves on downwards. What is it thinking? Is it wondering what the meaning of its life is? Or why the air friction creates such a tingling sensation? Or rather, is it thinking, "O my, what's that small, green, disc shaped thing that I'm moving towards so quickly?"
Golf kills.

Idiocy
Fri, 29 Dec 2006 21:55 – No comments
Though the depths of idiocy is more than often hidden from me, I'm really trying to understand how idiocy works. My finds are not exactly true, but they are quite interesting.
1. Idiocy gives you freedom
2. Idiocy gives you money
3. Idiocy gives you something to die for
4. Idiocy gives you something to kill for
5. Idiocy makes the circle of life work
6. Idiocy is freely available both on and off the net
7. Idiocy is sometimes fun, but most of the time it's just depressing
8. Sorry, there were only seven dwarfs

Ho ho ho. Time for Jul. That does not only mean lots of nice food and some presents, but also, I don't have to study or do any such thing for two weeks. /dance

Depth in abyss of strange echoes, echoing over boiled cabbage plantations. Normally inept viscousity, flowing upwards, strangling a cow. Cactus stinging beetle, wishing never final end will come. Surplus inspector, darning socks. Stern inhabited moon dust, rocking visitors gently. Stupid writer, abusing slog greatly.

Hangry!
Tue, 31 Oct 2006 19:27 – No comments
I write here today to promote the new and not quite yet accepted word 'hangry'. It refers to, of course, the state of being both hungry and angry. As hunger often leads to anger, and vice versa, this state is very common, and it's suprising that there's no widely used word for it. But 'hangry' sounds very promising in this respect.
It may be worth noting, though, that 'hangry' is sometimes used only to describe the state of being angry because of being (very) hungry. But nevertheless, it's a word that may have a great future, if people used it.

Today I'm going to talk about mysterious mysteries, hidden knowledge, lost wisdom and pie.
It begins, ham, boiled fish ham, ham, boiled fish ham, ham.
It continues, water, boiled ham fish, water, boiled ham fish, water.
And it ends, this is not such a big waste of time compared to so many other things. Ham.

Funny rain

Right now, it's raining very, very, very much. It has reached 5 on the car alarm scale (meaning, 5 of the cars on the parking lot below my window has got their alarms triggered). It's not even usually that high when it hails.
Screeny
Wed, 4 Oct 2006 20:26 – No comments
I've just bought a new monitor. It's 17" LCD (V7 L17GM, the cheapest I could find), and in many ways it's better than my previous monitor (for instance, it works as it's supposed to do), but my eyes are not very used to LCDs (I haven't used one regularly for about three years) and it's a bit tricky to get the brightness to a pleasant level. I'll see if I get used to it in the following days.

Not into shape
Sat, 26 Aug 2006 00:11 – No comments
About this time of the year, 77 years ago, some terrible thing happened. Exactly what it was they don't say, maybe it was murder or weirdo rituals or something. But anyway, according to the legend, of which no one has heard of before, something shall happen upon the day 77 years later. Hmm...
Hey, this ain't working out very well, I can see that. And I'm a bit too tired to get it into shape. Er.. so they lived happily ever after.
