I'm lazy... or stupid... or laztupid?
Sun, 12 Sep 2004 16:15 – No comments
You know what? I've just realized that I'm, in a way, very, very lazy. I've got math and physics to do, I've got about five ideas for games to make, a lot of mod ideas, a couple of ideas of things to write, multiple ongoing projects and a lot of other things to do.
And you know what? I don't seem to be doing anything. I only sit around, playing some games, browsing the net and generally don't do anything that would give me less things to do tomorrow... and this must be because I'm lazy.
Or is it? When you think about it, wouldn't actually doing something now make things a lot easier for me? Am I not stupid to not do anything now? It's possibly some kind of laziness that has joined up with stupidity and formed a procrastination squad that's going really well.
I just come to think of a thing, and I think that can explain how I work: In the Discworld novel Moving Pictures, the main character, Victor, keeps himself fit out of laziness so that actually moving around and such is a lot less laborious. Now, that's a kind of smart laziness. Asking yourself, "What should I do now to, in the long run, make my life easier?"
And that is exactly how I don't work. At least not right now. I'm just laztupid, for the moment not doing anything unless I more or less have to. Or think it fun to do.
Heh, and why did I write this, then? Well, it's a stupid log, after all. And it was a bit fun.

OpenGL 2.0
Fri, 10 Sep 2004 16:06 – No comments
So, at last the OpenGL 2.0 specification is released, and soon there will be drivers supporting it... and then maybe, with lots of luck, there could be a new lib release from ms so that we wouldn't have to load and care about old extensions anymore..

I don't think that's a good idea. Really. Stop thinking about it.

ye who walk in shadows, will be tortured as carrots!
ye who whisper in the night, will be tortured as cucumbers!
ye who walk the road of the hidden, will be tortured as potatoes!
ye who listen to me, will be tortured as ye selfs.

Lemonade and math, together?

For anyone Swedish (and maybe for someone else, too), this might be fun: BOB goes math #1 & BOB goes math #2. It really shows how you can include math teaching when relaxing and drinking some lemonade.
Dead food

The correct way of making sure food is dead is to prod it some times and check that it does not seem to be offended by it.

What is the Duck?
The Duck is everywhere, it is all around us, even now in this very room. You can see it when you look out your window, or you turn on your television. You can feel it when you go to work, when you go to church, when you pay your taxes. It is the bird that has been pulled over your eyes to blind you from the truth.
The truth that you are a slave. Like everyone else, you were hatched into bondage... hatched into a prison that you cannot smell or taste or touch. A prison for your Duck.
You have to let it all go... Free your Duck.

Do I have a headache? -- "You tell us", you say. -- Yes, I really do. It's a really awful one, too.
Also, I've have an announcement to make: I once stated that I was a lama, and that is not true. I'm not even a Buddhist, nor am I religious. I'm sorry.

Arrgh, matey, the slog is up and running! Beware ;)
I would like to dedicate this slog to my left foot. I love you!
No, wait... I mean my right foot. I hate my left foot.
