Due to a very embarrassing bug with the timing related code, discovered after the
deadline, the game can be very hard/easy depending on your framerate. Running the
game at 180 fps is about right, but most people will have a much lower framrate, 
resulting in a very slow movement and fireing speed. I apologize for this 
inconvenience.

Also, there have been some crashes (seg fault/access violation) on start for
some people. They all ran windows xp, and most of them used a laptop. This is also
a topic for investigation. It seems to be because of something bad with the video
mode selection/initing code. Again, I'm sorry about this.

This important notice message is the only difference compared to the version released
before the deadline. If you consider it a bad thing letting people know about bugs
by updating the readme after the deadline, then please ignore this message.

Introduction
จจจจจจจจจจจจ
Hi there. You are now a happy owner of The Destruction of the Viruses (tDotV).
It's a game featuring evil viruses, that's invading your computer. In a very,
very small ship you set out to fight them. You know it won't be easy, but then,
nothing really is.

The game is written in 48h for the 4th 48h game programming contest at ludumdare.com.
That means that everything you see in this game are made within 48h (looking at my
clock, I see it was all made within 32h, actually). Sleep included.

The theme for the competetion was Infection. So I made a game in which a computer
are infected by viruses that can clone themselves and spread all over the place.

How to play
จจจจจจจจจจจ
You fly forward/backward with W/S or Up/Down. You strafe with A/D. You turn around
with Left/Right or using the mouse. You fire with Control or the left mouse button.
You change weapon with keys 1-5. And that's all there is to it! Sometimes you may
have to press other keys at well. For example, Esc works in many situations.

What's need to play

I've made this game on a AMD 2200 and a GF FX5200. Something like that would probably
be a good idea to have if you want to play it. But you could probably get away with
something older. Working OpenGL drivers are a very good thing to have at least.
The game runs in 800x600x32b resolution in fullscreen or windowed mode. 

What to do to win
จจจจจจจจจจจจจจจจจ
Clear out all viruses on all levels. This is, at some levels, easier said then done, 
but I've manage to do it, so it can't be too hard. For those who want to know
everything, there are five levels.

Remember, it's easy to wipe viruses out in the beginning. After that they have spread
all over the level it's quite a lot of viruses. But don't despair! Even if the level
is full of them, there are still a chance. There is kind of and end of cloning after
a while (the technical discussion will be left out).

The weapons
จจจจจจจจจจจ
There are five weapons which you can use. First, there are the Blob Shooter. It fires
small slow moving blobs that can inflict a decent amount of damage. The second weapon
is the Dual Lasers. It fires quite fast, but a single shot does not do as much damage
as with the Blob Shooter. The third weapon is the Minigun. It fires even faster than
Dual Lasers, and a single shot inflicts less damage. It's however better. Weapon number
four is the Rocket Launcher. Not surprisingly, it launches rockets. When the rockets
hit something, the explode, and can kill a lot of viruses at the same time if they are
cuddled together (they usually are). The fifth and last weapon is the Railgun. It 
inflicts quite a lot of damage. Really really much damage. That's all.

The viruses

There are five kinds of viruses. The first type is kind of grey and slow and dull and
easy to dispatch, unless you wait very long for them to become very many. The second
kind of virus green and small and is very easy to kill, but is a real pain if left 
alone for a short while. You want to kill these the first thing you do. The third kind
of virus have much in common with the second type, but is red and follows you around.
They're quite creepy, to be honest. The forth type of virus is kind of the first types
big brother. It doesn't spread as much, but it fires purple blobs at you, so you better
watch out when they are near. The fifth kind of virus is The Super Virus. It's what
causing all the other viruses. It can take really really really much damage. But remember,
the railgun can inflict really really much damage, so it will probably turn out alright.
